This page is written for people looking for a coach in Slovenia, including people who’ve moved here, international leaders working with Slovenian teams, Slovenians who’d rather be coached in English, and people abroad who’d like an intensive in the Slovenian mountains.

Who I work with

Mostly entrepreneurs, founders and senior leaders, with families, who are successful by any outside measure and feel something is missing. Some know what they want to change and haven’t started. Some feel something is off and don’t yet know what they want instead. Some are running on empty. Some are mostly fine, and curious what else is possible.

What they have in common: they want to keep what they’ve built, and make the life underneath it feel like theirs. That usually involves work and business, and just as often health, relationships, how much they work and time at home.

I also work with people who’ve moved to Slovenia for work or family and are rebuilding a sense of direction in a new country, and with international leaders who run teams here.

Languages

I coach in English and Slovenian. Some clients switch between the two mid-session, and that’s fine. Many people find it easier to talk about personal things in a language other than the one they grew up with. Others find the opposite. We’ll use whatever works for you.

In person, in the mountains, or by video

In person. Sessions can happen walking, on trails around Ljubljana or in the Julian and Kamnik-Savinja Alps, or indoors when a closed room fits better. Walking and time in nature have solid research behind them for thinking and mood (Why coaching outdoors works).

By video. Most sessions can happen online, wherever you are. For the full-day intensive, there’s a remote version: we start on a call, you walk alone with one question, and we talk again about what came up.

Mixed. Many clients do most sessions by video and the intensive in person.

How the coaching works

I use a method called the Two Compasses. It draws on coaching psychology and on ontological coaching, which works with language, emotions and the body together. In short:

  1. We set your summit: where you’re heading, described by how an ordinary day should feel and what a camera would see.
  2. You take a real move with a date on it.
  3. We read both compasses: what happened in you, and how the world responded.
  4. We choose the story: the reading closest to the facts that serves your summit.
  5. You take the next move, and the loop runs again.

The full method is on The Two Compasses page.

How to check any coach in Slovenia

Whoever you choose, a few checks help:

  1. Look for accreditation from the ICF or the EMCC, and check it in their public directories.
  2. Have a real first conversation. Research shows the relationship between coach and client predicts results more than anything else (How to choose a coach).
  3. Ask how they work and what you’ll leave with.
  4. Ask when they’d refer you to a therapist. Coaching isn’t therapy, and a good coach knows the difference.

How to start

Start with the 1-minute Reading on this site, or book a free 30-minute conversation directly. We’ll look at where you are and whether working together makes sense. You leave with a clearer next move either way.
