Learn about Forge48 →A full day in the Slovenian mountains with up to five people. A few hours of hiking, coaching the whole way, and lunch together after. Forge One is a clean day to step out of the noise, look at what you’re facing, and start a move while you can still hear your own signal.
One full day in the Slovenian mountains. Up to five people, no more. A few hours of walking at a pace set to the group, coaching the whole way, and lunch together after to land what came up.
This isn’t mountaineering, and it isn’t an endurance test. If you can walk on uneven ground for a few hours, you can do this. The pace always fits the group. We’re not here to push ourselves. We’re here to be in the mountains.
Because the walking isn’t the work. It’s the tool. Move your body through the mountains and your state changes, and your state decides what thinking you can reach. A problem you’ve been stuck on at your desk looks different from a ridge, with your body warm and the noise gone.
You don’t leave with a tidy plan. You leave in a different state, seeing the thing you came with from somewhere new, and usually knowing something about yourself you didn’t this morning.
Set the day and name what you came to face. On some days we start early to catch sunrise from the top.
The first coaching happens while you walk, side by side, not across a table.
Up top, the work gets honest. This is where the real question usually surfaces.
What you saw up there starts to settle into something you can use.
Name what moved and the first step you’ll take with it.
Your state changes. Move for an hour in the mountains and your body settles. From there, options appear that your desk never showed you. The problem doesn’t get easier. You get the room to see it.
Side by side, people get honest. Across a table, you manage how you come across. Walking the same trail, looking ahead instead of at each other, that drops. People say the true thing on a hill they’d never say in an office.
I won’t promise the problem solved by lunch. Plenty of people get there anyway. What I promise is simpler. You leave in a different state, seeing the problem from somewhere new, and you’ll likely leave knowing something about yourself you didn’t see this morning.
That’s a real day’s work, and it’s often the thing that finally gets a stuck move started.
Not hard. The trail is picked for the group and the pace follows the slowest person, not the fittest. You come as you are. If you can walk on uneven ground for a couple of hours, you can do this. It’s a long day outdoors, but the walking is steady with time to rest, not a summit push.
No. No special training, no hiking background. Normal health and being able to spend the day on your feet outdoors is enough. Tell me about any injuries or limits before we go and I’ll plan around them.
You walk, and while you walk, we talk. I ask the questions that get you to the real one. There’s quiet time on your own to think, and we close the day with lunch to put words to what came up. It’s closer to a working day in the mountains than to therapy or a seminar. You bring the problem, the mountain and the conversations do the rest.
It helps, but it isn’t required. Plenty of people arrive knowing something is off without being able to name it. Finding the real question is part of the day. If you already know what you’re chewing on, bring it.
You share what you choose to, and nothing more. Some of it is private time with me, some is quiet time on your own. Group moments are light, and you decide how much you say. What’s said on the mountain stays there. Most people are surprised how easy it is to be honest with people who started the day as strangers and won’t be after a couple hours.
Comfortable clothes you can move and sweat in, layers for changing weather, and broken-in shoes or boots with grip. I provide a short list before the hike. Nothing technical, nothing you need to buy specially.
We go in most weather. Rain and clouds are part of it and often make for a better day. If conditions are unsafe, I move the date and you keep your spot. You’ll know the plan the day before.
In the Slovenian mountains, within reach of Ljubljana. You make your own way to the meeting point, which I share once you book. If you’re traveling in, I’ll help you sort the logistics.
English or Slovenian, depending on the group. I confirm the language before you book so there are no surprises.
The day includes all the hiking and coaching, your time outdoors, and lunch together after. You arrange your own travel to the meeting point. Investment is €480.
Days are set a few weeks ahead and the group is capped at five, so spots are limited. Ask about the next one on a call, or join the Altitude Letter and I’ll announce them there.
Forge One is a single day. Forge48 is the deep version, 48 hours in the mountains with a six-week integration after. If you want to test the water or work on one specific thing, start with Forge One. If you already know you want the full reset, go straight to Forge48. We can sort out which fits on a call.
A day won’t rebuild your life. What it does is change your state and your view, and that’s often the thing that finally gets a stuck move started. People leave with clarity on what they’re facing and a first step they’ll take. That’s a lot for one day.
Yes. If you’d rather come with a partner, a friend, or a few colleagues, we can run a private Forge One for your group. Tell me on the call and we’ll set it up.
Most people leave Forge One with fresh perspective and a clear next move, go home, and make it. That’s the whole point, and it’s enough. Forge One doesn’t need to lead to anything else. But if the day opens something bigger, there are two ways to keep going.
